George the 10th child and 6th living son of Noah & Katherine Webster was born in 1749 in Lebanon. He either did not move to Mansfield with his father & siblings or he went back to Lebanon to get married in 1774 to Deborah Dewey, dau of Charles Dewey & Deborah (Buell) Dewey. At some point the family moved to Columbia County NY. & then on to Delaware County. George was killed by a fall from a horse on his farm at Quaker Hill, NY, near Harpersfield in Delaware county where he settled after the Revolutionary War. The name of the place is attributed to his being a Quaker, but nothing more is said about it. There is no mention of his service in the Revolution. He died from the injury incurred when he fell from the horse in his 53rd year. His wife survived him, dying in 1837 at the home of her son, Philo, in Saybrook, OH. George died intestate.
