    Elizabeth Webster, born in 1741 at Lebanon CT. & was still unmarried in 1865 as she is named in her father, Noah's will. Intentions of marriage of her and Oliver Pier were published at Great Barrington, Berkshire Co.,MA July 10, 1762. No record of the date of the marriage. Her tombstone at N.Egremont, MA has this inscription: "In memory of Mrs. Elizabeth, wife to Mr. Oliver Pier, died 11 Jun 1783, age 43."

    After her death Mr. Pier remarried Phoebe Hayden Howard, a widow, who survived him. He farmed at Great Barrington, MA and in New Haven, Addison Co., VT where he died in 1805. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War from MA and a member of the Vermont Constitutional Convention in 1791.

    Pier children: Oliver Jr., Moses, b.1767; Justus; Lydia; Rosalina; Calvin b.1780 at Great Barrington, MA.; Ira Webster, b.1783 at Egremont, MA. Quite a bit is known about these various Pier children, see Chapt 7, p.138 of the Webster Genealogy. The End
