At 10:30 o'clock Tuesday evening at his home on the Gibson Bayou occurred the death of Ellery Marshall, aged 50 years. Mr. Marshall has been a great sufferer of heart disease for more than a year, his death being a direct result of that disease.
The deceased is survived by his widow and eight children, besides other relatives. He had been a resident of this vicinity for some thirty years, and was an extensive farmer, a very prominent and useful citizen, esteemed by a large circle of friends and beloved by his family. His passing will be greatly deplored by all who knew him.
The funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Boone's Chapel, Rev. L. S. Thurmond officiating. The interment was made in Frakes' cemetery.
