    Edwin Carlson is of a family of 5 boys and 1 girl who all came to the United States with their mother in 1901.  His father passed away Sept. 13, 1900 in Sweden.
    Edwin and Elna moved to the old place in 1926, rented a farm until 1950 when they moved to Tottns place and purchased those 160 acres.  They lived there until 1970 when they cold the farm and moved to Clifton.

    Edwin Carlson
    CLIFTON - Edwin Carlson, 86, Clifton, died Saturday in a Washington, Kan. hospital.
    He was born Jan 7, 1890 in Sweden, and lived in the Clifton community in Washington County since 1901.
    He was married to Elna Olson in 1914. She survives.
    Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Gay, 941 Glen Court, Topeka, and Mrs. Judith Leonhart, Lawrence; two sons, Clifford Carlson, 1501 Clay, and Roy Carlson, Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Gunhild
    Dahlstrom, 124 N. Kendall, Topeka; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
    Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Turner Funeral Home at Clifton. Burial will be in Rusco Cemetery north of Clifton.
