Christmas, visiting with Clifford (1995)
Ruth was the only one of the four to graduate from high school. Judy did get her GED. I don't believe Clifford or Roy ever did get their GED.
Having no job opportunities in Clifton, Judy moved to Topeka. Ruth was already here doing housework. Judy found housework too. She met and married Herb Smith.
Judy had a breast removed before Mike died. Cancer was also discovered in her backbone and spread throughout her body. She had a wonderful Christmas, Connie and her boys were here in Topeka for the holidays, then she died in January. She was staying with us on 20th Terrace. She wasn't getting up to go to the bathroom and had a yellow cast to her skin. She lasted only a few days in the hospital. They gave her pain medicine and water. She had a compassionate doctor.
