Obituary - TOPEKA CAPITAL-JOURNAL, Monday, February 16, 1981 MRS. GUNHILD DAHLSTROM Mrs. Gunhild Charlotte Dahlstrom, 88, 124 N. Kendall, died Saturday at a Topeka Convalescent home after a long illness. She was born March 31, 1892, in Sweden. She moved to the United States in 1901 and lived near Clifton before she moved to Topeka in 1910. Mrs. Dahlstrom was a member of West Side Baptist Church, Senior Citizens Club, and the auxiliary of Local No. 1445 of the Carpenters Union. She was married to Hugo George Dahlstrom July 24, 1916 at Topeka. He survived. A daughter, Irene Dahlstrom, died in 1945. Other survivors include a son, Hugo George Dahlstrom, Jr., 3024 NW 25th; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Gilchrist, 2109 Eugene, Mrs. Alice Schmidt, Kansas City, Mrs. Frances Slipsager, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Betty White, Kansas City, Kan.; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Dahlstrom will lie in state after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
