EDITH FLECKENSTEIN
Sister of Heber Jackson, 368 North Elm Street, Mrs. Edith J. Fleckenstein, Rochester, N. Y., wife of retired Internal Revenue Service auditor Leo. W. Fleckenstein, died Tuesday afternoon in a Rochester nursing home following a four-year illness.
Mrs. Fleckenstein had been living with her daughter, Mrs. William Von Berg in Rochester.
She was a native of Thorncreek township, a daughter of John P. and Martha J. Long Jackson. Her marriage took place in Columbia City in September 1921.
She was a 1916 graduate of Columbia City High School and attended Indiana University at Bloomington. Following her graduation from college she taught two years in Whitley County, then went to Washington, D.C. It was there that she met Mr. Fleckenstein.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Jack of Rochester, N.Y., and William of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one daughter, Mrs. William (Barbara) von Berg, Rochester; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Workman, Muncie; one brother, Mr. Jackson.
Four brothers preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Anthony Funeral Chapel, 2305 Monroe Ave., Brighton, Rochester, N.Y. Interment will follow at Rochester.
