21. Charles5 Lewis (Thomas4, John3, Andrew2, William1) was born November 8, 1772. Charles died January 4, 1832 at 59 years of age.

He married Anne Hance March 20, 1792. Anne died June 26, 1840.

Charles Lewis and Anne Hance had the following children:

+ 51 i. Thomas6 Lewis was born October 12, 1792.

+ 52 ii. Gen. Samuel Hance Lewis was born April 30, 1794.

+ 53 iii. Charles Lewis was born April 4, 1796.

54 iv. Mary Ann Lewis was born November 20, 1797. She married Dr. Mustoe Chambers. (See Dr. Mustoe Chambers for the continuation of this line

55 v. Elizabeth Mackall Lewis was born June 20, 1799. Elizabeth died November 18, 1801 at 2 years of age.

56 vi. Gabriel Jones Lewis was born June 6, 1801. Gabriel died October 10, 1802 at 1 years of age.

57 vii. Margaret Strother Lewis was born July 28, 1803. She married Rev. Charles B. Tippett. (See Rev. Charles B. Tippett for the continuation of this line.)
