    Catherine Hefner, 79, 419 N. Artner, died this morning at a local hospital.

    She was born Sept. 3, 1898 in Topeka and lived here most of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

    She was married to Alex Hefner on Aug. 9, 1919 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Topeka. He died Aug. 9, 1950.

    Survivors include three sons, Alex P. Hefner Jr., of the home, Aloysius E. Hefner, 712 N. Arter, and Ralph J. Hefner, 620 Highland; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Daniels, 424 N. Arter; three brothers, Anthony Kamer, 205 Freeman, John Kamer, 3501 Seward, and Joseph Kamer, 2518 California; two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Desch, 1036 Wayne, and Mrs. Emma Holzmeister, Chicago; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

    Services are pending at Brennan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery
