Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church here for Anthony Peter Kamer, 79, 205 Freeman, who died Friday at a Topeka hospital.
He was born Nov. 17, 1902 at Topeka, the son of John P. and Margaret Hefner Kamer and spent all his life in Topeka.
Mr. Kamer worked for his father at Kaw Valley Nursery several years and later at Topeka Terminal Elevator for 23 years before retiring in 1967. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 534, both of Topeka.
He married Antonina Gerhardt May 14, 1929 at Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Froehler, Mrs. Rose Mary McGrew and Mrs. Mildred Landry, all of Topeka, and Mrs. Regina Yates, Hanna, Wyo.; a son, Leo E. Kamer, Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Holzmeister, Chicago, and Mrs. Mollie Desch, Topeka; two brothers, John C. Kamer and Joseph Kamer, both of Topeka; 13 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka. Mr. Kamer will lie in state from 2 until 9 p.m. Monday at Brennan's of Topeka where parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. and Council No. 534 Fourth-Degree Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
