'Chubby' Powers

DAVENPORT -- Elizabeth Ann "Chubby" Powers, 61, of 501 W. 3rd St., died Thursday at her home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service.

Mrs. Powers retired in 1988 as a short order cook at Barbees on Harrison Street in Davenport.

Chubby McCarthy married Robert Powers in Rock Island.

She enjoyed playing cards and reading.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Survivors include a daughter, Taralyn Powers, Davenport; a granddaughter; sisters, Eileen Keeter, Dubuque, Iowa, Jackie Dodson, Burbank, Calif., Joan Crull, Moline, and Mary Bowen, Anaheim, Calif.; and a brother, Bud McCarthy, Centerville, Iowa.
