ARNOLD CUSTER/CUSTARD, b. ca. 1718, probably Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA; m. BRIDGET STAUDER (she m. (2) 7-28-1787, JOHN ROBINSON); d. 3-1759, Augusta co., VA. Bridget and her son Arnold were bpt Jan 1763 in the Cook's Creek Presbyterian Church in Rockingham Co., VA. Arnold, Sr. had 104 acres surveyed in Brock's Gap on Linis Creek 7-7-1750/1. Arnold and his brother, Nicholas, with 28 other men bought land in the Gap of the North Mountain on the Shennandoah River on 12-5-1754. This was in Augusta co. (later Rockingham Co.), VA near Brock's Gap. Arnold appears on the procession list. The Fort Seybert Massacre took place 28 Apr 1758.
