It appears likely that this Archibald Armstrong was the son of Elinor Armstrong, who died and named her son Archibald (among others) in her will proven in 1791. The identity of Archibald's wife is undetermined at this time. Additional research on this family is needed.

The last Will and Testament of Archibald Armstrong.

I Archibald Armstrong considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:

First I give and bequeath unto my eldest son Robert Armstrong all the goods chattels and money whatsoever to hold to him the said Robert Armstrong his heirs and assigns forever, I give and bequeath the same -

I hereby appoint Wm. Y. Marin (?) sole executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 9th day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and fifty eight.

The above instrument consisting of one Sheet was now here subscribed by Archibald Armstrong the testator in the presence of each of us, and was at the time declared by him to be his last Will and Testament and we at his request signed our names hereunto as attesting witnesses.
