Great Barrington was a village and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England until 1935 when it was absorbed into a new civil parish named Barrington along with the neighbouring parishes of Little Barrington and Eastleach Turville.

The present parish of Barrington has been in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire, England since 1974. According to the 2001 UK census it had a population of 209. To the east the parish borders Oxfordshire.
