Great Barrington was a village and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England until 1935 when it was absorbed into a new civil parish named Barrington, along with the neighbouring parishes of Little Barrington and Eastleach Turville.

The present parish of Barrington has been in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire, England since 1974. According to both the 2001 and 2011 UK censuses it had a population of 209. To the east the parish borders a portion of Oxfordshire that until 1974 was in Berkshire.
