Obituary

    Mrs. Pauline Sordelet, 87, widow of Louis Sordelet, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.C. Weaver, 928 East Wayne Street, at 11:25 o'clock last evening of senility.  She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church.  Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Milo funk, Lima, O; Mrs. Leonora Snodgrass, of Chicago; Mrs. August Chevellot, and Mrs. E.C. Weaver, of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Weaver of this city, and Mrs. Celestine Bonjour, of Jefferson township; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral announcements later.  Burial will be made at Besancon.

1920Pauline Sordelet, age 81, was enumerated in the Equa Weaver household, along with her daughter, Clara. She listed her birthplace as New York, her father's Switzerland, her mother's France.

CITY DIRECTORY 1893-94Pauline Sordelet lived at 137 Holman, Fort Wayne, IN. She is the widow of Louis Sordelet. 1899 Pauline Sordelet lived at 117 W. Butler, Fort Wayne, IN.


    After Louis died, Pauline lived on the same farm for a couple of years.  Then she and her son, Emil, moved to Fort Wayne.  In 1890 they lived at 57 Charles Street in Fort Wayne, and Emil Sordelet worked on the Penn. Railroad as a switchman.  in 1895 Pauline and her son, Emil, lived at 141 Lafayette St. in the downtown area of Fort Wayne.  They moved to 69 McCulloch St.  and by 1900 was living at 117 West Butler St..  A few years later, she moved out to the east side of Fort Wayne and lived at 2816 New Haven Ave.  She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church.
