Obituary

    Mrs. Clara Elizabeth Weaver, 78, charter member of several Fort Wayne organizations, died at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist Hospital, where she had been a patient six weeks.  She had been in ailing health six years.     She was born in Besancon and was the daughter of Louis and Pauline Sordlett.  Her husband, E.C. Weaver, to whom she was married 61 years ago, died in 1936.  She was a member of World War I Gold Star  Mothers, the local chapter of which was named in honor of her son, Virgil E. Weaver, and a charter member of the Calvary United Brethren Church, the American Legion Post 47 Auxiliary and the Woman's Relief Corps Auxiliary, Zion S. Bass Post, GAR.     Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Kalt, 512 East Masterson Avenue, with whom she resided and Mrs. Goldie McDonald, Kendallville; a sister, Mrs. Elinor Snodgrass, Chicago; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  The body, removed today to the Jule Schone funeral Home, will be taken Monday noon to the residence, where friends may call.

BAPTISMClaire Elizabeth Sordelet, child of Louis and Pauline Sordelet was baptised on 20 July 1867. Sponsors were Alexander Galoupe and Mary Sordelet.
