Amelia Chevillot obituary 

    Mrs. Amelia Chevillot, 74, a native and for many years a resident of Jackson township,died at 11 o'clock Saturday night at the home of Mrs. Samuel Lewis of 3718 Robinwood drive, where she had made her home since coming to Fort Wayne.  Her husband, August Chevillot, died six years ago.  Mrs. Chevillot is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Clara Weaver, of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Eleanor Snodgrass of Chicago, and a brother, William Sordlett of Fort Wayne.

BAPTISM Amalie, born on 22 July 1860, child of Louis and Pauline Sordelet was baptised on 05 Jan 1861. St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Tonawanda, NY. Sponsors were Nicolas Sordelt and Coelestina Soignet.

LAND FORECLOSUREFollowing Augusts death in Nov. Of 1925, Emilia must not have been able to make the payments on their property. She owed the First Joint Stock Land Bank of Fort Wayne $6804. The court ordered a foreclosure and quiet title. Total cost with fees, $7500. Emilia's attorneys was Wm. C. Ryan.
