I taught Early Childhood/Special Education for many years, before deciding I loved doing family history research so much that I wanted to make it my profession. I took many courses and eventually became a Certified Genealogist. I really enjoy Scottish research and was elected to be a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, Scot. My father's family came from Lithuania; I spent 15 years trying to trace them back to Lithuania. After getting mired in the many spellings of the name, burnt court houses and the lack of records, I finally found cousins in Lithuania and was able to make several visits! I am a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, Indiana Genealogy Society, Allen County Genealogy Society of Indiana (in charge of First Families of Allen County), The Scottish Cultural Society and the Lithuanian Global Genealogy Society. I am the Genealogist for Clan Mackenzie, USA. I volunteer at the Allen County Public Library genealogy center, the Lithuanian Genealogy Society and the Latter Day Saints Indexing Project.
