Died after 8 Jan 1732/33. No explanation is given, but since her second husband died just three months before that date, it is likely that she was mentioned in a probate document on that date.
Many sources do not identify the surname of Elizabeth, the wife of Jabez Snow. There are several arguments advanced in various sources that suggest she was Elizabeth Smith, the daughter of Ralph Smith. Ralph Smith had re-located to Eastham about 1653 based on recorded birth of his daughter Deborah, so she was living in the same town as Jabez Snow at the approximate time of their marriage (about 1670 based on birth of eldest child). Jabez Snow was one of the sureties providing bond for the administration of the estate of Ralph Smith (see [1]). This position does not require that he be related, but it would be natural if he was. Jabez Snow and his wife Elizabeth had a daughter named Grace, presumably after the widow of Ralph Smith, plus other names used in the Smith family. Source:Descendants of James Irish, 1710-1940 : and allied families, p. 242 says this conclusion is accepted by the "Association of Descendants of Ralph Smyth". In NEHGR, p. 51:206, Mrs. Charles L. Alden in a later part of her article "Snow Genealogy" identifies Jabez's wife as Elizabeth Smyth. She says in a footnote: "Since sending the family of Jabez Snow to REGISTER I have discovered that his wife was Eliz. Smyth, daughter of 1st Ralph, born 1648." Unfortunately, she does not provide the proof.
