    Mrs. Claudia S. Hubbard Dies Here on Saturday
    Mrs. Claudia S. Hubbard, 85, long-time Vernon County resident, died Saturday, at a local nursing home following an illness of several months.
    She was born June 1, 1882, at Sheldon, the daughter of Zachary (Zachariah) and Margaret Wooten (Wootan) Hathaway. On Feb. 5, 1912, she was married in Vernon County to Neaville C. Hubbard, who died in 1963. Mrs. Hubbard had lived in Cass County several years, however most of her lifetime was spent in Vernon County. She was a member of the Walker Methodist Church.
    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (loyd) Hoover and Mrs. Vera Schillinger, both of Nevada; one son, Harold Hubbard of Florence, Ore.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Ferry Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bob McCombs will officiate and interment will be in the Virgil City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral hme from this evening until the hour of the service.
