Death of Mrs. Guy Hutchens

After months of suffering, Mrs. Guy Hutchens of this city, passed away Saturday night at the home of her mother, Mrs. Hathaway who resides at Montevallo. About her bedside the devoted husband and the dear little son who still hoping against hope lingered and saw mother and wife pass into eternity. Death was not wholly unexpected and came as a merciful angel to cease suffering and to carry the sufferer to a home where affliction and separation are unknown.
Mrs. Hutchens had been afflicted with acute stomach trouble for some time and the skill of the physician and the healing climate of Idaho failed to baffle the ailment and death resulted. During her affliction she was a patient sufferer, cheerful and always mindful of others. Mrs. Hutchens was one of those cheerful, good women who brought sunshine into every circle she entered and her death is a source of sorrow to many friends as well as to the husband and bright little son and relatives. She was a devoted and companionable wife and an indulgent mother. The family of three was so happy, the first sorrow being the affliction that came to the mother and which resulted in a separation that has brought indescribable grief to the husband and son and to the deceased's mother.
The funeral services were conducted at the residence this afternoon. Impressive words of consolation were spoken by Rev. Neville who conducted the services. Many beautiful and fragrant flowers covered the casket evidencing the esteem and love of many friends. The remains now sleep in beautiful Deepwood. The sincere sympathy of many friends is extended to the husband and little son.
