Neavill Custer Hubbard

    Neavill Custer Hubbard, son of Phillip Henry and John Spence Hubbard, was born April 29, 1886.  He passed away at the Nevada City Hospital on June 24, 1963, having been in health a long time.
    Mr. Hubbard spent most of his life in Vernon and Cedar counties.  He was united in marriage to Claudia Hathaway on February 5, 1912.  Five children were born to this union.  On son and daughter preceded him in death.
    Surviving are his wife, Claudia; two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Hoover, Mrs. Vera Schillinger, of Nevada, Mo., a son Harold N. Hubbard, Goldendale, Wash.; one sister, Ethel Peterie, Stockton, Mo.; seven grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
    In 1951 he united with the Methodist church in Walker.  Funeral services were held at the Walker Methodist church on June 29 at 2 o'clock.  Officiating were the Rev. J. P. Wilbanks and the Rev. Alfred Laird.  Interment was in Virgil City Cemetery.
