Acquisition of Land from Chalkley's:
- William McMahon received a patent for 400 acres "on Cub Run of So. River Shanando, west side Peaked Mountain" on 12th January 1746, (as listed in the dispositions below):
- William McMahon received a patent for 400 acres "on the head of a north branch of Buffilo Creek adjoining Benj. Bordin's land" on 12th September 1746, (as listed in the dispositions below):
Disposition of Land from Chalkley's:
- Page 359.--20th August, 1747. William McMachan, Gent., of Frederick County, to Robert Young, £15.16.7; 400 acres patented to William, 12th September. 1746, on the head of a north branch of Buffilo Creek adjoining Benj. Bordin's land. Acknowledged. 20th August, 1747.
- Page 203.- (undated, appears to be bet. Dec. 1752 - March 1753) - Gabriel Jones and Lewis Neil, of Frederick, executors of Wm. McMachen, late of same place, Gent., to William Beard, 400 acres on Cub Run of So. River Shanando, west side Peaked Mountain, patent to Wm., 12th January, 1746. Wm. died testate.
