- Deed: 27 August 1803: William Gullett and wife Jean convey to Matthew Leach "a tract of 52 3/4 a. in the Sinks, described as 2 1/2 miles from the courthouse" [Monroe County Deeds]. (Note: Matthew Leach was a son-in-law of William and Jean Gullett, he married their daughter Mary 'Polly' Gullett).
