    William was married to Miss. Anna Beard on January 1, 1781, in Rockingham County, Virginia. This union produced eight surviving children documented.
    They lived in neighboring Augusta County after their marriage. William and Anna moved from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia to Knox County, Tennessee sometime around 1806-1808.

    William passed away in the summer of 1813 in Knox County, Tennessee, leaving Legacy to his widow Anna and his surviving children.
