    Vina A. Nelson, 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Devon Gables Health Care Center in Tucson, Arizona on April 29, 2006.

    She was born January 28, 1908 in Frankfort, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene and Mary Alice Smith.

    Vina graduated from Topeka High School in Topeka, Kansas and worked for the Federal Government in Washington DC and Denver, Colorado.

    She married Norval Johnston in 1929 and they were divorced. She married George Nelson on February 14, 1958. He died on February 3, 1980 in Green Valley, Arizona.

    She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by many nephews and nieces.

    Cremation is planned.
