    Mrs. Mary Alice Smith, 68, wife of E. R. Smith, manager of Washburn Municipal University Golf Club died Monday at her home on the Campus, following a short illness. Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 7, 1873 in Frankfort and had been a resident of Topeka since 1912. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Methodist and an active member of Group No. 1 of W.S.C.S. She also was a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Besides her husband she is survived by 4 daughters, Miss Velma Smith of Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. B. D. Painter, Mrs. Norval Johnson, Mrs. Virgil Coulson, three sons, Henry E. Smith, Harold M. Smith, Herbert L. Smith and ten grandchildren, all of Topeka; four sisters Mrs. Anna Lozier, Borger, Texas; Mrs. Hattie Swanson, San Diego, Calif, Mrs. Rachel Lockman, Kansas City, Mo. and Mrs. Eva Ford, Grand Junction, Colo.; two brothers, Elmer Musgrave, Frankfort, and Herbert Musgrave, New Castle, Wy. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wed. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
