  1. OBITUARY - THE WEEKLY REVIEW, 1904, Frankfort, KS
Mr. Edward Musgrave died at his home in this city at half past eleven o'clock a.m. Monday, December 5th, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 1 day. burial taking place in the LaGrange Cemetery.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Robt. A. Smith, were held at the family home at ten o'clock Wednesday in the LaGrange Cemetery. The funeral was attended by a very large number of the friends and neighbors of the family.
Mr. Musgrave had been in failing health for several months, and his friends realized that he was steadily growing worse, yet did not think that the end was so near until within a few days of the date of his death,, and the announcement was a shock to the entire community. He had been afflicted with heart and stomach trouble for several months, which developed into dropsy, which was the immediate cause of his death.
In the death of Edward Musgrave the county loses one of its earliest inhabitants, and this community one of our best and most enterprising citizens. He grew from youth to manhood on the farm on the Clear Fork,
south of this city, which he owned at the time of his death, and which had been the family home up to the time of moving to this city two years ago, and there never was a better neighbor nor a truer friend. Generous
and kind hearted, he was the friend of everybody and was always ready to share with the needy, of whatever he possessed.
He was a loving husband and kind and indulgent father. He leaves a wife and eight children, three sons and five daughters to mourn his death. Three sisters, Mrs. C. J. Weis, Mrs. C. F. Rickson, and Mrs. Chas. Ingalsbe, also survive him.
