Dr. T. D. Doan Died At Palmyra Home
Practiced Till Last In Spite Of Ill Health
Palmyra, March 1, 1939
Dr. T.D. Doan,70, a physician for thirty-four yeas the last fifteen of which had been spent in Palmyra died at 2:25 pm today at his home.
Although he had been in ill health for a year, he continued the practice until the last, prescribing for a patient a short time before his death. With the aid of his wife during his illness he made long trips to care for the sick. On Monday he visited a patient at New Berlin.
Dr. Doan was a graduate of St. Louis university college of medicine.
In addition to his wife, Mrs. Olive Butler Doan, he is survived by one sister Mrs. Nina Gowin,Olney, and one brother Amos Doan, Olney.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday at the Stuits funeral home in Palmyra.
