Elmore Y. Doan, an old and highly respected citizen living about three miles east of this city, died at his residence last Sunday night at nine o'clock. He was sixty-three years old,and leaves surviving him a wife, five sons and two daughters. He leaves also one sister living in Indiana, who was summoned but came too late for the funeral which took place from the Mt. Pleasant church at three o'clock Monday afternoon. Rev. McCoiltey officiating. The family have the sympathy of the whole community in their irreparable loss.
