[edit] OverviewSamuel Houston is identified in the will of person:Christopher Huston (1) of Mill Creek Hundred, who lived on White Clay Creek in northern Delaware. Chirstopher's DOB is estimated as no later than 1677, which implies that he probably married his wife Martha no later than c1700. Samuel was probably born about that time; though he may not have been the eldest child, he was listed as his fathers executor in 1726, showing that he was an adult at that time. Samuel's own will identifies him as a "farmer of East Nottingham", in Chester County, PA. Land records show that he probably lived somewhere within the XYZ watershed, along the Maryland Pennsylvania boundary, east of Rising Sun MD. His wife is identified in his will as "Esther". No children are identified, and though Samuel makes bequests to his wife Esther, brother Robert, and to Christopher and Samuel Huston, believed to be the children of a deceased brother James. It is presumed that Samuel's wife remarried to Henry Glesford, as his will was excuted by Esther and Henry Glesford. Henry is presumed to be a relation of Mary Crasford (Glassford, Glesford) wife of deceased brother James. [edit] Personal Data
