Person talk:Samuel Houston (6)

Wrong Birthdate? [18 September 2010]

Bill, you have this Samuel Houston as a son of Christopher Houston and Martha Work, but if he was born by 1677 (as you list), tnen he would have been about as old as his father..... (?). I can see him being born sometime around 1697-1699, but can't see him that old (b. 1677). You might want to look at this one. Doesn't make sense for him to be born more than 20 years before any of his siblings (IMHO). Best regards, Jim:)--Delijim 10:32, 18 September 2010 (EDT)

Believe we have a disconnect on this somewhere. Checking the earlier versions, I don't believe I had Samuel born that early. Christopher might have been born as early as 1677---certainly no later than c1683. Sometimes looking at the new sidebar, its easy to confuse the persons data with that of their parents. Done that many times myself. I've suggested to Dallan that he use some sort of distinguishing graphic so its clear which is the parents and which the child and spouse. Q 19:57, 18 September 2010 (EDT)
