[edit] Information on Robert Hamiltonhttp://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hcpd/norman/HAMILTON/WILLIAM 2.ROBERT HAMILTON 1.WILLIAM HAMILTON Robert Hamilton, a son of William Hamilton, was born in 1710, probably in Ireland, and died in Augusta County VA in 1786. His will was dated March 25, 1786. He married Margaret McKee. Margaret was born in 1712 and died in 1789. The family was living in Rockingham County VA in 1763 when Indians raided their settlement and killed two of their children. Three children were captured and later returned.
