Bible record of the family of Robert Givens, of Lincoln county, Kentucky, and Martha his wife, copied from a leaf out of their Bible, filed by his widow in the U. S. Pension Office, Sept. 24, 1824, with her application for a Pension :

1. Robert Givens, b. May 22, 1759; d. Oct. 26, 1833. m. Martha , July 4, 1782 ; b. July 31, 1761.

24. xiii. Robert Givens (3), born May 22, 1759; died October 26, 1833; married July 4, 1782, Margaret Robertson, born July 31, 1761, daughter of William Robertson. (Ibid., Vol. II, page 281). He served in the Revolution in Captain John Given’s Company. (Gleanings of Virginia History, William Fletcher Boogher, page 224). They migrated to Lincoln County, Kentucky.
