Rebecca Turnham was baptised on 30th June 1771 at Totternhoe in Bedfordshire, daughter of Mary Turnham, formerly Purton, and her husband Thomas Turnham. She was the eldest of the couple's children.

Sadly Rebecca died when she was only eight years old, being buried at Totternhoe on 14th July 1779. Her parents went on to have another daughter called Rebecca in 1781.
