Elizabeth Turnham was baptised on 17th March 1776 at Totterhoe in Bedfordshire, daughter of Mary Turnham, formerly Purton, and her husband Thomas Turnham.

On 1st August 1796, aged 20, Elizabeth was married at Totternhoe to Thomas Turvey, who had been living in the neighbouring parish of Houghton Regis immediately before their marriage. No evidence has been found of Elizabeth and Thomas having any children.

By 1834 Elizabeth and Thomas were living at Whipsnade just south-east of Totternhoe, and Thomas was working as a farmer. Elizabeth died at the age of 58. Although she had been living in Whipsnade immediately before her death, she was buried back in Totternhoe, on 2nd December 1834. Thomas survived her by about nineteen years and married again in 1835.
