Facts and Events
Name Ann Turnham
Gender Female
Christening[1] 7 Dec 1777 Totternhoe, Bedfordshire, England

Ann Turnham was baptised on 7th December 1777 at Totternhoe in Bedfordshire, daughter of Mary Turnham, formerly Purton, and her husband Thomas Turnham. Ann has yet to be traced after her baptism. One possibility is that she was the Ann Turnham who married James Cook at Totternhoe in 1802, but that person could just as easily have been the Ann Turnham baptised at Totternhoe on 16th September 1781, daughter of William Turnham and his wife Ann Pressell. Insufficient evidence has yet been found to establish which, if either, of the two people called Ann Turnham baptised at Totternhoe was the one who married James Cook in 1802. There does not appear to be an obvious burial for either Ann. (The Ann Turner buried in 1799 was described as a wife.)
