- 1810 Sep - ANDREW ENSMINGER and Rosanna his wife vs. RALPH GATES and JAMES MANNIX in court action, Champaign Co., OH. The court ordered that the injunction be made perpetual as to RALPH GATES and said GATES to pay all the costs except the subpoena for MANNIX and service thereof. Notice of appeal.

- Jane WILEY, b: 29 September 1753 in Unknown d: Aft. 1822 in probably Tippecanoe Co., IN. She was married to Ralph GATES (b: December 1752, d. Unk.) on 20 October 1783 in Greenbrier Co. [W] VA. The area in which they lived in Greenbrier became Monroe when that county was formed in 1800.
Ralph and Jane Wiley Gates left Monroe County abt. 1806-08 and went to Champaign Co., OH with the Francis BEST family and possibly an ENSMINGER family.
Jane had a sister, Mary (b: abt. 1750 d: in Clark Co., OH?) who was married to Dennis MANNIX (d: 1782 in Augusta Co., VA).
Mary and Jane were mentioned as heirs-at-law of a John WILEY in a couple of land transactions:
