    Polly is the 9th child born to Daniel & Hannah Webster in Chatham, NY in 1774. She married Nathaniel Eggleston. In 1795 he was of Paris, Herkimer Co., In 1814 he was of Bloomfield, Ontario Co.

    Land records show that in 1815 he and wife, Mary, sell some land (Polly is often a nickname for Mary). His last will dated 14 May 1822 leaves bequests to my well-beloved wife, Mary, my daughters, Matilda Beach, wife of Chauncey Beach; Lucina Putnam, wife of Peter Putnam; & Amanda Parsons. and 4 sons: Elisha, Horace, William, & Hamilton Washington Eggleston.

    Polly & her husband are buried in the Cemetery at East Bloomfield, Ontario Co., NY, their bodies having been brought to this new cemetery from the old. Those names are on a monument at the entrance of the cemetery. Nathaniel Eggleston, 1769-1822; Mary Eggleston, 1774-1825; Asahel Beach, 1769-1825; Lurany Beach, 1778-1824.
