Obadiah Edmunds was a Revolutionary soldier and “remarkably fitted to mitigate the hardships and smooth the asperities incident to the settlement of a new country.”

Obadiah was a private in Col. Ira Allen’s Regt’ in the Vermont Militia, and accordingly has been used as an ancestor qualifying for Sons of the American Revolution (for example)
