    Sec. 65. JAMES EDMUNDS III ( Sec. 28 ), who was born in Providence, Rhode Island, February 16, 1762, went with his father to Clarendon, Rutland County, Vermont, in 1775. He was "out" in the Revolution in 1779, serving three months in the militia. (Sec. 10 ). He moved with his family in 1815 to Hartland, Niagara County, New York, where he died May 19, 1846.

    James Edmunds, third, who married Freelove Olin for his third wife, was born in Providence, Rhode Island, February 16, 1762; moved with his father, James Edmunds, second, to Clarendon, Rutland County, Vermont, in 1775. He was in the Revolutionary war, drafted for three months, but on account of his large family was excused, and James Edmunds, third, took his place.
