Former Resident Dies In Waterloo

Funeral services for Louise M. Klaus, 86, Waterloo, a former Postville resident, were held at 3 pm Saturday, June 23, at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo. Burial was at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Rev. Thomas C. Piel officiated.

Louise M. Klaus, the daughter of Fred and Wilhelmina Baltz, was born in rural Postville Dec. 3, 1987. She died Thursday, June 21, 1984, at St. Francis Hospital, Waterloo.

She married Ernest Klaus, Castalia, Oct. 15, 1923. He died Nov. 11, 1958. They were the parents of a son.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her son, Robert, Waterloo; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Buhlman, Waterloo; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
