RAUT, 59, FORMERLY OF CAMDEN Mrs. Lena B. Raut, 59, of 107 Eagle ST, died unexpectedly June 25, 1955 in her home. Dr. T.W. Piekielniak, Coroner, said death was due to heart disease. Mrs. Raut was born Feb. 26, 1896, in Town of Camden, a daughter of Mrs Barbara and James H. Durgee. She attended Camden schools and was married to Clarence W. Raut in Vienna on Nov. 7, 1931. After their marriage they lived in Vienna village. He died Jan. 29, 1947. After his death Mrs. Raut continued to live in Vienna. She moved to Utica last February. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. In Vienna she attended the Methodist Church. She leaves a daughter, Dorothy, with whom she lived in Utica; two sons, James A. and David Raut, Camden; her mother in Utica; four sisters, Miss Christine Durgee, Utica; Mrs. Alexander Crumb, Clinton; Mrs. M. Fisk Wilkinson, Utica; and Mrs. Earl Willis, Panther Lake; two brothers John Durgee, Utica; and J. Edmund Durgee, Camden; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be... tomorrow from the J. Floyd Smith Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. Charles Chamberlain, pastor of Camden United Church, officiating. Burial will be in McConnellsville Cemetery. Syracuse Herald Journal, 27 June 1955: RAUT RITES TOMORROW Mrs. Lena B. Raut died suddenly of a heart attack Saturday at the home of her daughter, Miss Dorothy Roth [!] 107 Eagle ST, Utica, with whom she had resided since last February. She was born in the town of Camden on Feb. 26, 1896, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Snyder [!] She was married to Clarence Raut Dec. 7, 1931. They resided in Vienna. He died in 1947. Surviving, besides her daughter, are two sons, James and Davis of Camden; her mother, Mrs. Barbara Durgee; four sisters, Miss Christine Durgee, Utica; Mrs. Alexander Crumb, Clinton; Mrs. M.
