Notes

Some researchers claim that John's name was "John James Wardlow", but since he also had a brother James (both were listed in their father's will in Fayette County, KY), this appears to be unlikely.

John Wardlow witnessed [served as Bondsman] the marriage of his sister, Martha "Patsy" Wardlow to Samuel Finley on 16 August 1804 [Marriage Records, Fayette County, Kentucky, 1803-]
