Judgments 1736 - George Jones of Philadelipha, tavern keeper vs. John Vinyard.
Account of John Vinyard to George Jones of Philadelphia, innkeeper, for horse sold him, to be paid for 10 August following and for saddle, £8.16.0, June 1732. Certified before William Allen, mayor of the City of Philadelphia, and sent to "Mr. William Russell in Virginia Germanna".
Summons to John Vinyard, 17 Sept. [1735], to answer George Jones on a plea of trespass, damage £16 current money, for debt of £8 current money for a horse sold by the plaintiff to the defendant. Regurned 17 Sept. 1735 by W. Henderson, executed. Isaac Smith, his security.
Summons to John Finlasson, 20 Feb. [1736], executed 28 Feb. 1735/6 by Gideon Marr, to testify on behalf of George Jones.
Summons bo John Beckit, 20 Feb. [1736], executed 17 Feb. 1735 [1736] by Wm. Henderson, to testify for George Jones.

Isaac Smith vs. John Vinyard.
The plaintiff at the request of the defendant became security to Benjamin Cave, Gent., Sheriff of Orange County, for his appearance before the justices to answer the suit of George Jones of Philadelphia, tavernkeeper, in an action of trespass upon the case for his not performing certain promise and assumption lately made. The defendant failed to appear before the justices and on 16 March 1735 [1736] did suffer judgment to be confirmed against thhe plaintiff for £8 current money.
Summons to John Vinyard to answer Isaac Smith of a plea of trespass upon the case, damage £50 sterling, 16 June [1736], returned 16 July 1736 by Tho. Postgate, Deputy Sheriff, "Executed on John Vinyard and in goal [jail]. Dismissed.
