DNA

As of mid-2019, a core group of 8 descendants of this man match each other at least 37/37 markers through Y DNA testing (and, where tested, 67/67). This group in turn matches 67/67 to lines descending from John Morrow b. ~1770, m. Susanna, and Joseph Maxwell Morrow, b. ~1783, of Buncombe Co, NC, believed to be brothers, and, given documentation of this John's own son John, potentially then nephews of this man. Other matches descended from the same time period in North Carolina, from WIlliam Morrow, b. abt 1789, m. Rutha, and Robert Morrow, b. abt 1771, of Haywood Co, NC. See this list of participants.

Note that these results means that this John is not related to the Virgina Morrows he is often tied to, per Worth Ray's book. He is usually listed as the son of this David Morrow but DNA does not match.
