DNA
William is speculated to be the grandson of John Morrow of Mecklenburg Co, NC based on his NC origins and DNA match. He is listed on Wikitree as the son of John's son Robert d. 1800 and on FamilySearch as the son of John's son Richard m. Margaret Maxwell. Both men had sons born about 1790, and neither left estate records naming their sons.
Because only one descendant of William has been tested and only at 25 markers, additional testing would be useful.
