DNA

MorrowDNA - Group 6 (NC Bros) ~ Tested Line ~ Early Ancestor: William Morrow (b. ~ 1789 NC) m. Rutha (this man) ~ Tested son: James Madison Morrow b. 1812

Other matches: John Morrow of Mecklenburg Co, NC ~ Robert Morrow of Haywood Co, NC ~ Andrew Morrow (~1810-1880+) (info)

William is speculated to be the grandson of John Morrow of Mecklenburg Co, NC based on his NC origins and DNA match. He is listed on Wikitree as the son of John's son Robert d. 1800 and on FamilySearch as the son of John's son Richard m. Margaret Maxwell. Both men had sons born about 1790, and neither left estate records naming their sons.

Because only one descendant of William has been tested and only at 25 markers, additional testing would be useful.

The MorrowDNA Project seeks DNA from additional male-line descendants.
