Francis Marion Morrow was born about 1836. On July 26, 1858, William and Ruth deeded 80 acres in Polk County to Francis. He is named in his father's 1859 estate settlement as Francis M. Morrow of Polk County, Missouri, although he appears in marriage and census records as Marion.

Francis married Mariah Pickering in January 1858, and died before February 1861, when the administrator of his estate (William Devin) filed a petition to administer the estate in the February 1861 court term in Polk County.[3] They had two daughters, Rutha and Rebecca.
