_____
Who are John's parents? No records indicate.
Conjecture: Peter Crumrine and Elizabeth Ringer.
John lived, with his family, in Carroll county, Ohio in the US censuses from 1850 until his death. Which other Crumrine families lived in that county? Only two.
Isaac Crumrine (1823-1887), with his family, lived in Carroll county from the 1850 census until his death and he was buried there.
Peter Crumrine (abt 1811-1880), with his family, lived there during the 1850 census and perhaps in 1840.
Both men are sons of Peter and Elizabeth so, the dates being compatible, I place John as their son also. (But they already have a son named John! A mystery still to be explored.)
Maybe son of John Peter Crumrine 1788-

v.2, p.497, 1921.
John Crumrine was a boy at the time when the family home was established in Carroll County, and here he eventually became a successful farmer, as the owner of one of the excellent farms of Perry Township, but for more than a quarter of a century he devoted his attention to the operation of what was known as the Dawson Mill in that township, this grist mill having been operated by water power. In Perry Township he and his wife continued their residence until the time of their deaths. Both were originally communicants of the Lutheran Church but later united with what is known as the Christian Union Church in Perry Township. Mr. Crumrine was in the 100 days service as a soldier in the Civil war and in later years maintained active affiliation with the Grand Army of the Republic. His political support was given to the republican party. It should be recorded that the paternal and maternal great grandparents of Peter A Crumrine were born and reared in Germany and immigrated to America about the year 1812. John and Margaret Binger Crumrine became the parents of nine children: Mary, Jane, Frank, Emma, Spencer, Peter A., Elizabeth, John, and Belle.
